Ulta Beauty Collection
Promotional Beauty Sets
These sets are supplemental to the core collection for various seasons. Its a low price point for a few fun products reflecting a theme. The themes and component dielines are pre determined by marketing & sourcing teams.
First round proposals
I explored three style directions, focusing on how secondary elements interacted with primaries inside the packaging. Concepts ranged from die-cut windows for added impact to all-over patterns with spot gloss. Since the sets were physically small on-shelf, simplicity in the components ultimately proved most effective.
Final Sets
The final direction kept the exterior simple with wave-inspired color blocking and a custom-cut window. Across six color versions, the internal primary components featured gold and rose foils—adding refinement. This approach balanced bold, thematic concepts with a more approachable, everyday aesthetic for consumers.
WHIM
Designed with a younger audience in mind, the Ulta Beauty Collection features organic, playful shapes for a whimsical feel, accented with holographic details that resonate with a youthful consumer.
The body butter tubes introduce a more eclectic, bold pattern, creating a subtle point of differentiation within the collection.
Summer Destination Candles
Each season for Ulta Beauty Collection there are newly launched candle collections correlating to the season or a particular theme.
Inspiration
Initial inspiration from marketing included simple bold graphics with beachy color palettes. Also included was vintage inspired monoline graphic posters featuring pastel color combinations. A very 90’s vibe.

Final Product
Building on flat graphic inspiration, each design featured a bold, radiant background accented with hand-illustrated landscapes that transported consumers to the candle’s namesake destination. Subtle pastels balanced the vibrant backdrops, while gold foil brought refinement to the labels and illustration details. A copper lid was selected to add a distinctive, elevated touch—differentiating from the standard white and black options.
